In a randomized trial of adults undergoing dermatologic surgery, hydrocolloid dressings (HCDs) resulted in scar appearance and complication rates comparable to those with daily petroleum ointment, although patients rated the HCDs as more convenient and comfortable.
METHODOLOGY:
