Novo Nordisk Says Wegovy Approved in China for MASH

STOCKHOLM, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Denmark's Novo Nordisk ⁠said on Thursday its blockbuster ⁠weight-loss drug Wegovy had ⁠been approved ‌in China as the first GLP-1 RA class of drugs for the ‌treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

"The ​liver ‌health-related benefits ‌evidence extends the established evidence ⁠for Wegovy from ‌weight ⁠management ​and cardiovascular ‌health to liver health, further supporting its role ​in the ‌comprehensive ‌management of obesity and related ‌complications," ​it said in a statement.
