Preterm Babies May Safely Start Full Milk Feeds on Day 1

METHODOLOGY:

  • Researchers conducted an open-label superiority trial to assess whether preterm infants could be fed only full milk (60-80 mL/kg per day) through gastric tubes immediately after birth without increasing health risks.
